What are shaker cabinet doors made of?
A shaker door is a 5-piece door: two stiles, two rails and a flat recessed center panel. Our doors: MDF frame and MDF center panel, lacquered.
Can I buy doors and face frames without the cabinet box?
Yes. Door & frame sets are sold per cabinet size, sized to fit our plywood boxes.
Plywood or MDF center panel — which is better?
Plywood panels are lighter and show real wood grain under stain. MDF panels are dead flat and paint very smoothly. Both are common in quality shaker doors.
